Not seeing the results you want at the gym? Try these 3 things

Know your diet and stick to it

Even though you may be training hard at the gym, if you’re not sticking to the correct meal plan it’s unlikely that you’ll see any noticeable changes in your physique. This applies to everyone, no matter what your desired results or training styles are.

For example, if you’re trying to put on muscle mass, you will need to be consistently eating more than your daily maintenance calorie intake. You may then reduce the number of daily calories you’re eating if you want to shed extra body fat to appear more lean. The best way to approach your diet with consistency is to meal prep weekly, as this will allow you to accurately track how much food you’re really eating.

If you’d like to know how to calculate the number of calories you should be consuming see this article.

Try supplements

Supplements are not necessary in achieving a healthy diet, however, taking certain supplements may help you if you’re trying to achieve a particular goal. If you are aiming to build lean muscle mass, taking a protein supplement may help if you’re not hitting your daily protein targets from food alone. Or if you are trying to lose weight, using a fat burner may speed up the process.

Get enough sleep

Sleep and adequate rest time are crucial to seeing results in the gym. Getting enough sleep is just as important as diet and exercise when trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle. It’s been proven that a lack of sleep can reduce your physical and mental performance, negatively affect your hormones and build up insulin resistance in the body. This is why we recommend getting at least 8 hours of sleep every night to help you perform at an optimal level.
